Straight out of Worcestershire, La Vivas have quite the history. Formed in the summer of 2019, the indie band have a strong discography sat behind them. Nearing 100,000 streams across their releases on Spotify alone and have a social following of over 3,500 fans across the main social media platforms.

La Vivas are a straight up rock n roll band who write original tunes mixing indie, blues, punk and garage rock to create an intoxicating blend of music. The band members have all been playing in other bands until coming together to form La Vivas. Once rehearsals started the band knew that they had something special and before long they recorded a few songs at the Magic Garden Studio with legendary producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Twang, Paolo Nutini, The Sherlocks). The band played their first gig in March 2020 and due to the pandemic were only able to perform live two more times in 2020.  

 

The lack of live performances didn’t stop the band from writing new music and in between lockdowns worked on numerous new songs and in March 2021 once again teamed up with Gavin Monaghan to record four new songs, Springtime in Johannesburg is the first release from that recording session.  For the remainder of 2021 the band performed shows in the Wyre Forest area.

 

Every song they have uploaded to the BBC Introducing platform has received radio play on the BBC Introducing Music Hereford & Worcestershire Show with Andrew Marston.  In early 2022 the band performed live at an intimate BBC Introducing event and later that were BBC Artist of the Month for BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcestershire.

The band kicked off live gigs for 2022 with with performance at the HMV Empire in Coventry Supporting Marquis Drive.  The band have more gigs, recording and exciting plans for 2022.
